Aurora Women’s Network
The Aurora Women’s Network is a programme close to our hearts, which benefits from 0.5% of the revenue generated from the solar project each year.
The funds are intended to build resilience, accelerate growth and support local entrepreneurial spirit to ultimately stimulate and create opportunities for the people of Aurora.
The network is registered with the Department of Social Development as a Soup Kitchen, and provides food monthly to children, the sick and elderly.
They also assist the women in the area by teaching skills such as crochet, needlework and soap-making. Various other social welfare initiatives are also run via the Aurora Women’s Network, such as transportation for learners.
